TRASPÀS DE JOHN McCARTHY
 
 

Dia 24 d'octubre va traspassar John McCarthy, un dels pares de la intel·ligència artificial.

McCarthy va organitzar conjuntament amb Marvin Minsky, Claude Shannon i Nathan Rochester la conferència de Dartmouth l'any 1956 que es considera el naixement de la intel·ligència artificial. De fet, va ser ell qui va encunyar aquest nom en la proposta.
